Jess Hornsby – Freshmill Friday

‘’I have spent some time at WeWorks in London, so I am not totally new to the idea of hot-desking. I saw Freshmill on Instagram and at first thought they were in London, but was chuffed when I realised they were just round the corner! I booked a day pass to try the space out for the day and loved it! I was really drawn to the industrial design of the space, it’s totally my vibe! It’s great that it’s so close to home, so no more long commutes. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of home life but close to my sons’ school for pick up and drop off.

I still predominantly work from home, but having variety helps me be more creative and allows me to focus better. For example, last week I needed to record a podcast, but with our bathroom being ripped out at home it wasn’t the best recording environment, so I booked a room at Freshmill just for an hour and it solved that fear of interruption mid recording. Freshmill also gives me flexibility which as a mum of two young kids and someone building a business; is super essential for me. I can meet with clients here if I need or record content in peace, but still be in time for the school pick up.”

”This year is all about networking, learning, listening, and building a returning client base. Freshmill is really helping me out with these goals as it gives me a different environment from home, a professional space to meet new clients and tea and coffee on tap, what more could you need?!
